Easy! Tear one sheet, drop it into 200–300ml of warm (not boiling) water, then swirl, bounce and swich your brushes in the solution. Lush Brush works best when you provide some agitation to the bristles so making sure they hit the bottom of the glass helps loosen the makeup and debris.

Final step is to to simply rinse the bristles until the water runs clear and soap free.

Absolutely. And depending on the quality, cost of your brushes and how much time you have available, you may be more or less concerned about wetting your ferrule. We understand.

Lush Brush is gentle and won't weaken the ferrule on its own. It also doesn't contain any isopropyl alcohol which can break down glues more easily. That said, any form of repeated ongoing cleaning or scrubbing over time can weaken ferrules.

To protect your ferrule we recommend adding less water to your chosen glass so that the bristles can still reach the bottom and benefit from some agitation, without the ferrule getting completely submerged.

We also recommend drying your brushes immediately on a microfibre and then leaving to dry completely with the bristles facing down so any remaining water drips out of the brush and not into it.

Our formula is free from harsh chemicals, SLS, parabens, and fragrance-heavy nasties. It’s gentle on bristles which means it's indirectly gentle on your skin, too.
